Today is one of those days—the kind where just getting up feels like a mountain, and my mind is stuck in a loop of self-doubt. I know what I should do to pull myself up, but today it feels like I don’t have the strength. And as I sit with that feeling, the frustration only builds, dragging me down even more.
I’m lucky to have people around who care about me, but there are days like today when I feel like I’ve already worn out my welcome. I wonder if they’re tired of hearing it: “I’m struggling.” “I’m anxious.” “I’m exhausted.” I worry they’re losing patience, or worse—losing hope that I can be better.
And maybe they are. Or maybe that’s just my own mind talking. But either way, it’s hard to silence that voice on a day like this.
But here’s the thing—I’ve been here before, and as heavy as it is right now, I know this feeling isn’t forever. This is just a rough day, and I’ve survived plenty of them. So, I’m sharing this here for anyone who might feel the same. You’re not alone, even when you feel stuck or like you’re a burden.
Some days, just making it through the basics is enough. Maybe all we need to do today is breathe, stay still, and wait for this weight to pass. Because it will pass. Tomorrow is a new day, and with it comes another chance. One day at a time.
Everything we’re feeling today is temporary—even if it doesn’t feel like it right now. I’m holding onto that thought, and I hope you can too.
